Rosenstrasse Paintings
Japanese paper cut and formed they find a natural relationship with each other. With the sewing machine, which is a sort of means of drawing, these parts are unified and become whole and complete as of themselves. The painting is another way of unification. Printing woodblocks and painting them out, writing texts and painting them out. The visual nature of these elements take on their own aliveness. They are the language and vocabulary of my life. I can now work when traveling.
